The Mêlée was an annual tournament held in the kingdom of Camelot. Knights from around the realm competed in a single, free-for-all battle until only one competitor remained. They began the battle on horseback and were required to use swords with blunt blades.

Events

After Arthur humiliated them in a tavern brawl, Dagr and Ebor conspired to kill him during the annual Mêlée. They used Blood Crystals to disguise themselves as Sirs Oswald and Ethan and entered the tournament with Stulorne Blades. The blades were enchanted to appear blunt, but were actually razor sharp.

Fortunately, Gwaine and Merlin discovered their plot and true identities. Gwaine entered the Mêlée in secret to protect Arthur and together they defeated the two thugs (Gwaine).
