Asgorath was a village in western Caerleon, near the border to Camelot. It contained many dwellings built into the side of a gorge.
History
Asgorath was among the villages raided by Morgana's Saxons. They carried off some of the villagers to work as slaves in the mines of Ismere and killed the rest.
Arthur and his men came upon the aftermath of the raid and gave the villagers a proper burial. While searching for survivors, Merlin found Lochru, a Druid Vates, mortally wounded in one of the cave dwellings. Lochru told him of a prophecy concerning Camelot's destruction and Arthur's Bane and then succumbed to his wounds.
Arthur later reported Asgorath's destruction to Queen Annis, who was unsurprised (Arthur's Bane).
