Tokens are gifts bestowed from a lady to a knight as a symbol of their favour. Common tokens include scarves, ribbons, handkerchiefs, and other fluttery objects that can be easily tied to a knight's armour.
History
Morgana sent Owain a red ribbon to wear for luck when he dueled the Black Knight. Owain wore the token tied to the sleeve of his chain mail during the match (Excalibur).
Gwen gave Arthur a white handkerchief to wear for luck during Camelot's annual jousting tournament. He wore it tied to his right arm during the final match, and Gwen later used it to clean his wound after he was injured by Myror's lance (The Once and Future Queen).
