Jonas was a male creature of magic of an unknown species. He was the servant and devoted companion of the female troll who impersonated Lady Catrina of Tregor to become Queen of Camelot.
Biography
As the Troll Catrina's faithful servant, Jonas accompanied her to Camelot and assisted her with her plan to become Queen. He brewed the potions she used to disguise her true form and also acted as her spy. He saw Merlin follow Catrina to her nest and later lured him into a trap by pretending that he was a mistreated slave in need of Merlin's help. He also dueled Merlin when he tried to interrupt Uther and Catrina's wedding.
Jonas was killed by Arthur after he, Merlin, and Gaius conspired to free Uther of Catrina's enchantment. Arthur attacked Catrina and she threw him bodily across the room. Jonas then charged at Arthur in defense of his mistress and was run through with Arthur's sword (Beauty and the Beast).
Abilities
Jonas was skilled in the practice of troll magic. He was able to brew powerful glamour potions that allowed his troll mistress to assume the form of a human woman. He also possessed impressive physical strength, as he was able to lift Merlin over his head (Beauty and the Beast).

- Jonas was deeply devoted to the Troll Catrina. He often prepared treats for her and provided support and encouragement (Beauty and the Beast).
- Though Jonas' species is unknown, his reptilian tail paired with his affection for a troll and impressive physical strength suggest that he may be an evil fae, possibly a Boggart.
